From the Top of the Flagpole with President Bob Barnes
November 7,
2009
Welcome
to this year’s Mooretown Flags Alumni game as they host
the Detroit Red Wings
Alumni.
It is great to see our Flag Alumni Players, the Flags’
Founding Father and today’s coach Eric MacKenzie, the
Flags’ inaugural head coach Neil Smith, Trainer Patty
Ryan and Equipment Manager Bill Gunness. Welcome back to
the rink and thank you for sharing your special talents!
On
behalf of my executive a special welcome to the Detroit
Red Wing Alumni. On the Red Wing Alumni Team you will
notice a lot of local ex NHL Players, and a lot of your
favorite Ex NHL players, who you watched throughout the
years.
Many
thanks to The Red Wing Alumnae Paul Ysebaert, for teeing
up this afternoon’s game, for coordinating the Red Wing
Alumni Team and for helping us hold such a successful
fundraising event. My personal thanks to my executive
members particularly Joe Lavers, Chuck Melton, Randy
Mair and Ken Adams for sharing their talents and to all
my other executive members and booster club members for
making this fund raising game a highly successful event.
Many
thanks to our advertisers for promoting today’s game.
And a huge thanks to you the fans for coming to support
your Mooretown Flags Hockey Organization. We hope you
enjoy the Alumni Game and our regular season game
tonight against the Wheatley Sharks.
