Mooretown vs Alvinston

After dropping a 6 - 3 loss the previous night the Mooretown Flags came back with a vengeance and took a  9 - 3 win against Alvinston in the home/home series.

Mooretown outshot Alvinston 49 - 26 and Reid Rankin picked up the win for the Flags.  Alvinston netminding duties were shared by Brandon Campbell and Brodij Gerryts.

Mooretown scored 3 unanswered goals (one on the powerplay) in the first period, 4 in the second and added two more in the third.  Alvinston goals were scored in the second with 2 and a single in the third.

William Brandon, Donny Bowling and Cody Stout each scoscored 2 goals in the game and William Brandon scored a single.  Chris Edwards, Michael Lewis and Greg Zavitz scored for Alvinston.

Mooretown went 1 for 9 on the powerplay, Alvinston went 0 for 3.

Mooretown is now sitting in second place in the South Division with a total of 14 points (7 - 7) following Wallaceburg who is in first with 19 points (9 - 3 - 1OTL)

The Flags are in Dresden on Friday Nov 6 and return home for their Alumni Event with the Detroit Red Wings with a regular league game following against Wheatly.  The Alumni game begins at 5:00 pm and the league game at 8:00 pm.
