Mooretown at Wheatley

The Mooretown Flags traveled to Wheatley for a rare Monday night game and dropped a 10 - 3 loss.  This was the second game in the home/home series, on Saturday Wheatley took the win with a final score of 6 - 5.

Mooretown took a hooking penalty just :45 seconds into the game and Wheatley scored on the powerplay then went on and added two more goals before Mooretown put one in.  Jordan Carnevale 2 goals powerplay goal and Devin Dishman scored a single.  Mooretown first period goal was scored by Darby McKinnon on a powerplay.

Wheatley continued the scoring streak in the second with the first goal shorthanded by Patrick Lauzon.  Nathan Puchnatyj and Shawn Quigley added two more for the Sharks before Mike Burns powerplay goal for Mooretown.  Darby McKinnon went on and scored his second of the game, but before the period ended Wheatley put two more into the net with Matt Mailloux scoring unassisted and Andy Stevenson scoring a second shorthanded goal.  Score after two period of play was Wheatley 8 - Mooretown 3.

In the third period Wheatley added 2 goals the first on the powerplay by Craig Adamson and the second goal was scored by Josh Carnevale.  Mooretown couldn't find the back of the net and the game ended with a 10 - 3 loss for the Flags.

Next up the Flags travel to Kingsville on Saturday Nov 14 and return home on Wed Nov 18 and host Essex.  Game time 8:00 pm.
