This series is now tied
at 2 - 2 after Mooretown's 4 - 1 loss in Dresden on
Friday night.
It was a scoreless first period and early into the
second Mooretown scored the first goal of the game at
1:05 on a goal by Brett Thompson. From that point
on it was all Dresden. Jeremy Park tied things up
at 16:31 then added his second goal and game winner on a
powerplay in the final minute of the second.
Third period action saw
Jordan Shine add to the scoreboard at 13:33 to make it 3
- 1. Mooretown pulled their goalie in the final
minute in the attempt for a comeback however Jesse Allen
found the pocket and scored into the empty net.
Mooretown went 0 for 9 in
powerplay opportunities, Dresden went 1 for 6.
Mooretown outshot Dresden 35 - 25. Eric Steinmen
earned the win for Dresden with 34 saves, Seth Anderson
took the loss with 21.
The two teams are back in
action tonight (Saturday Feb 20) in Mooretown for game 5
of the best of seven series. Game time 7:30 pm. |
