| The Mooretown Flags took a 4 - 2 loss
in the first game in the first round of playoffs against
Dresden. Dresden took a 2 - 0
lead in the first period with Jeremy Park scoring the
first goal and Joe Deboer scoring a powerplay goal.
Spencer Lightfoot narrowed the lead to one after scoring
at 9:07 in the second assisted by Zach Anderson and Ryan
Hunt. Dresden answered back :22 seconds later with
Ben Holtom scoring.
In the third Dresden took a 4 - 1 lead with Park scoring
his second of the night. Mooretown was able to put
one in while on a powerplay late in the period by Cody
Stout but the time ran out giving Dresden the first win
in the series.
Jordan Gladwish took the loss in net with 33 saves.
Eric Steinman made 30 saves to earn the win.
Mooretown went 1 for 5 on the powerplay; Dresden went 1
for 4.
The two teams are back in action
tonight (Feb 13) for game 2 of the series in Mooretown.
