Sarnia vs Wallaceburg
May 20, 2010

What a fabulous turnout for the Pacers tonight. The final score was 6-5 for Wallaceburg, but the Pacers were definitely winners in tonight’s competition. Passing was solid, cross checking was consistent and the shift changes were the smoothest to date for the team.

The first period saw a 1-1 result with Kristian Spitzig scoring unassisted.  During the second period, there were some equipment failures for both teams with several random shoes on the floor looking for the feet that they once housed.  The second period also saw Corson Langs score his 1st goal of the season, with an assist received from Spitzig.

The third period saw both teams landing 3 goals each in a very tense last few minutes.  Simon Doan scored his first of the season thanks to an assist from Konner Adams.  Konner then went on to score his 1st of the season with an assist from Sebastien Frenette.  Finally, with his second of the evening, Spitzig scored unassisted.

A valiant effort on the part of the Pacers tonight.  Clearly some lessons had been learned from the prior games played and the boys are working together better as a team.

The Tyke Pacers are off for the long weekend and return to compete with Wallaceburg again on May 27 at home – 7 pm at Clearwater.
