Sarnia vs.
Wallaceburg
It was a hot
night at the Clearwater Arena. The
Sarnia Tyke Pacers were ambitious for a
win at their last home game of the
season
Simon Doan
was goal tending tonight, replacing
goalie Sean Foster. Simon was a natural
in net and made several fantastic saves.
The team was very proud of Simon for not
only stepping up to the plate while Sean
was away, but also doing an amazing job
in net! Well done Simon!
The first
period would see Wallaceburg scoring two
goals and Sarnia in the lead with
scoring three goals. The Pacer’s first
goal was scored by Carter Barron
assisted by Corson Langs followed by
Kyle Haas scoring the next two goals;
one assisted by Kristian Spitzig and the
other assisted by Parker McKegan. Haas
was on his game tonight, playing
excellent defence as well. Wallaceburg
spent two minutes in the penalty box
this period.
Wallaceburg
came back with a fight in the second
period scoring five goals, even though
they would spend four minutes in the
penalty box. Sarnia had several shots on
net but only two successful goals; one
for Kyle Haas, assisted by Kristian
Spitzig and one for Carter Barron
assisted by Corson Langs and Caelan
Babenko. Sarnia would see two minutes in
the penalty box.
The
excitement was at an incredible high in
the third period. The Pacers gave it
their best and tried so hard for a win.
It was busy at Wallaceburg’s net with a
goal scored by Carter Barron, assisted
by Kyle Haas then a goal scored by
Kristian Spitzig. Barron, on fire
tonight, would then score the next two
goals, getting closer to a tie. And
then, in the last effort for a tie, the
Pacers pulled goal tender Simon Doan.
The Pacers fought so hard for one last
goal but unfortunately the time ran out
and the final score of the game would be
10/9 for the Wallaceburg Griffins.
The Pacers
are on the road this Sunday to
Leamington for a make up game with Sun
County. |
