Sarnia vs. Sun County
– 10 am game
The Tyke Pacers were
on the road Sunday to Leamington for a
two-game day. The teams were originally
scheduled to meet in early June but the
games were cancelled and rescheduled due
to the devastation of the tornado that
hit the area.
The Pacers scored two
goals within the first two minutes of
the game. Christian Spitzig scored
within seconds after the face-off and
Carter Barron scored a goal shortly
after, assisted by Brett Vince.
Unfortunately, Sun County was also on
their game today and scored five goals
in the first period giving them the lead
by the end of the first period.
The boys started
playing more aggressive in the second
period and the Pacers would spend four
minutes in the penalty box and Sun
County would spend six minutes in the
box. Carter Barron scored the only
Pacers goal this period and Sun County
kept up their momentum, scoring three
more goals.
The Pacers spent even
more time in the penalty box in the
third and so did Sun County with six
minutes each for both teams. The penalty
time didn’t stop Sun County from scoring
four more goals.
The final score of
the game was 12/3 for Sun County.
1pm Game
After lunch, the boys
met up with Sun County for game two.
Simon Doan played goalie for the second

to play his first game as a player and
both boys did great a fantastic job!
The Pacer’s first
goal was scored by Carter Barron,
assisted by Kyle Haas. Sun County scored
two goals only giving them a small lead
by the end of the first period. Both
teams spent time in the penalty box.

the second period and had several shots
on net. Barron scored one goal this
period, however Sun County scored five
goals giving them a greater lead.
The last period would
only have one goal scored by Carter,
assisted by Sean Foster. Simon was
making some great saves in net.
The final score of
the game was 7/3 for Sun County.
