The Sarnia Jr. Sting Minor Atom MD team traveled to London on Tuesday to open their season against the North London team and were defeated by a score of 2 to 1.

 

Both goalies, Stevie Schaefer and Cameron Stevens, played well for the Sting denying the North London team on several goal mouth scrambles and breakaway’s.

 

With the score 2-0 for the home team Zac Moore flipped a puck in the top corner from close range to open the scoring for the Sting.  As time was winding down in the third the Sting swarmed the London net but were not able to get the puck past the London goalie.

 

The Minor Atom MD play next on Sunday October 10 as they are on the road again to face West London.
