The Sarnia Major Atom Sting were involved in 2 games Thanksgiving weekend, losing to Woodstock and Kitchener.

On Saturday, at Woodstock, the Sting started well against a strong Woodstock team, taking a 1 – 0 1^st period lead on a goal by Jake Vince (assist Dakota Moore, Spencer Preece).  Woodstock was able to respond in the 2^nd period scoring 2 power play goals and sealed the win in the 3^rd period with 2 more goals for a final score of Woodstock 4, Sarnia 1.

The Sting were back on home ice at Germain arena to take on the Kitchener Rangers on Sunday in what turned out to be a game they would rather forget about.  Kitchener came out flying and never let up taking a 10 – 2 win over the Sting.  Devin Devooght (assist Jake Vince) and Jack Smith (assist Brett Allardyce) scored the goals for Sarnia.
