Shaun McDermott opened the scoring at 7:47 with a one-timer from the left side (assisted by Ryder Nienhuis and Jared Henry). Jaxon Lucas scored the team’s second at 3:04 (assisted by Ryder Nienhuis and Luke Crombeen). Jimmy Simpson scored an unassisted goal  with 1:39 left in the first.
