HUGE Win
as Preds Defeat League Champs
The
Lasalle Vipers, League and Sutherland
Cup Champions, currently sitting first
in league standings, were defeated by
the Lambton Shores Predators on Saturday
night. The Preds have now won 2 of their
last 3 games and are showing amazing
improvement as they adapt to new systems
and roles under new Head Coach Todd
Bidner.
After a
very disappointing game in St Marys on
Friday night, (7-3 loss) the Predators
played what was by far their most
complete game of the season in defeating
the Vipers 4 to 3 in a shoot-out.
Exceptional defensive zone play and
discipline were the difference as the
Preds limited the high flying Vipers to
just 32 shots on goal. Chris Clarke
played another tremendous game in net
for the Preds and did not allow a goal
in the shoot-out. Brenden Heffernan
scored 2 goals and added one in the
shootout, Dan Morin added the other.
Adam
Arseneault and Chris Taylor were welcome
additions to the line-up as they
returned from extended time off due to
injuries and are expected to see more
ice time as they round into game shape
this week in London on Wednesday against
the Nationals and in Lambton Shores on
Saturday against Chatham.
