The Lambton PeeWee's travelled to
Essex to battle the Sun County
Panthers and came away with a 2-2
tie on Saturday and then followed
that up with a hard-fought 1-1 draw
against the Waterloo Wolves the
following day at the RBC Centre.
In the
Sun County game Anthony Hurtubise
was solid in net to earn the road
point. Scoring the goals were Alec
Dekoning and Ethan Dupont with
assists to Isaac McLean and Dawson
Vautour.
In
the weekends second contest the
Eastern conference leading Wolves
were in town but were held to just
one goal by some excellent team
defence and stellar goaltending from
Kaden Fulcher. The Jr Sting would
open the scoring in the middle of
the first period on a power-play
goal by Alec Dekoning assisted by
Brett Barnes and Franco Sproviero.
Waterloo would even things up in the
middle of the second but neither
team would find the scoresheet for
the remainder of the game. |
