The Jr
Sting PeeWee's managed a win and a
loss in weekend action. The scores
of both games were 3-1 in a tight
road victory and home defeat.
Saturday the Lambton squad travelled
to the frigid Grand River arena in
Kitchener and put out a solid effort
to come away with the victory.
Anthony Hurtubise was solid between
the pipes to get the win and goal
scorers were Brett Barnes, Franco
Sproviero and Alec Dekoning with
Sproviero, Ethan Dupont and Brock
Perry picking up assists.
On
Sunday the Jr Sting hosted the Huron
Perth Lakers in a late morning
match-up. In a game that saw the
Lakers jump out to a 2-0 first
period lead, the Lambton players
didn't give up and controlled the
play for the second half of the
game. Despite outshooting the
Lakers, the Jr Sting snipers had
trouble finishing plays and couldn't
manage to capitalize on their
chances. Scoring for the home squad
was Perry, assisted by Barnes and
Isaac Mclean.
