Three Sarnia

chance to achieve

the regular schedule.

Jesse Drydak
has seven
shorthanded
goals, or
just one
less than
the
franchise
record. Joe
Gerbe set
the mark in
the 1995/96
season when
he found the
back of the
net seven
times while
killing
penalties.
Drydak also
has an
opportunity to
get his 50th
career goal.
He has 48 to
date,
including a
team-leading
31 this
year. |
 |
Tyler
Cicchini,
who scored
his 50th
career goal
against
Chatham last
week (along
with his 51st),
also has a
chance to
break
Gerbe's
record. The
Legionnaire
captain has
five
shorthanded
goals to his
credit this
campaign. |
 |
Chase Clark,
meanwhile,
could reach
the 20-goal
plateau this
season if he
can light up
the lamp two
more times.
But he only
has one game
in which to
do it
because he
must sit out
Thursday's
game with a
suspension. |
Sarnia
is home to the Strathroy
Rockets Thursday and
closes out its 50-game
regular schedule
Saturday, Feb. 20 with
a contest in Forest
against the Lambton
Shores Predators.
Also at
stake is sixth place in
the Western Conference
of the Greater Ontario
Junior Hockey League.
The defending Weir Cup
champion Legionnaires
are tied for that spot
with the St. Thomas
Stars, who also have two
games left.
