Program
“Sober
Drivers
to
be
Rewarded”
Thanks
to
the
continued
community
support
of
the
Sarnia
Legionnaires
Hockey
Club,
the
Sarnia
Police
Service
will
be
able
to
thank
sober
drivers
who
pass
through
R.I.D.E.
check
points
in
Sarnia
during
the
holiday
season.
The
Legionnaires
have
made
(un-dated)
home
game
tickets
available
to
city
police
for
distribution
to
those
drivers
who
take
driving
sober
seriously.
“Officers
will
reward
sober
drivers
for
doing
their
part
to
combat
drinking
and
driving
by
presenting
them
with
Legionnaires
tickets
as
they
pass
through
our
check
points
this
holiday
season”
said
Sgt.
Carson
Wilson,
officer
in
charge
of
the
service’s
Traffic
Branch.
“Drinking
&
Driving
continues
to
be a
problem
in
the
city
and
throughout
Lambton
County”
added
Wilson
“and
anything
we
can
do
to
make
drivers
think
more
about
the
problem
is a
plus”.
