Legionnaires found their groove!
The Legionnaires have finally found their
groove with back to back wins over the
weekend.

Legionnaires vs Leamington Flyers

First game was at home on Saturday when hosted the Leamington Flyers.
After the first period of play no score.
Andrew Sokol opened opened the scoring
midway into the second assisted by Thomas
Ziolkowski. Leamington answered back
just over 2 minutes later to tie. Kyle
Fiorini scored for the Flyers. The period
ended with both sides with 1 apiece.
In the third Leamington took the lead on a
powerplay goal by Ryan Crevatin at 9:44.
Josh Teschke came back to tie at 11:36
assisted by Jesse Drydak and Tanner
Tomlinson. With just over 3 minutes on
the clock Leamington took a tripping penalty
giving Sarnia the powerplay opportunity.
On the powerplay Joel Steeves went 1 on 1 in
front of the net took and found the right
top corner and scored the game winner.
Jesse Drydak and Josh Cornelissen assisted
on the winning goal.

Kyle Washer earned the win in net for the
Legionnaires making a total of 36 saves.
Marc Tremblay of Leamington took the loss
with a total of 41 saves.
Sarnia Legionnaires at Chatham Maroons

Sarnia
travelled to Chatham on Sunday night
pumped after the win on Sunday and came
home with a 4 - 3 win. However
scoring was put to the test as 3 of
Sarnia goals were scored shorthanded.
Gabe Gervais
scored the lone goal for Chatham in the
first period to give them the 1 - 0
lead. In the second period at 1:06
off the clock high sticking was called
on Chase Clark to give Chatham the
powerplay. Owen Rogers took
control of the puck and went in and
scored the first shorthanded goal
unassisted. Action continued and
just over midway into the period Sarnia
found themselves shorthanded again and
this time it was Joel Steeves who went
in and scored the second shorthanded
goal. On the same penalty Chatham
did recover and scored their first
powerplay goal. Brad Pascall
scored for Chatham. With 17:05 left on
the clock Sarnia regained the lead on a
goal by Tanner Tomlinson from Jesse
Drydak and Chase Clark giving Sarnia a 3
- 2 lead heading into the third.
Chatham tied
things up in the third when Kyle Makaric
scored the second powerplay goal at
4:39. Late into the peirod Sarnia again
was fighting off a penalty but the
penalty killing line was successful once
again and scored the game winner.
Jesse Drydak scored the game winner goal
assisted by Owen Rogers and Thomas
Ziolkowski.

Kyle Washer
was in net earning his second win of the
season.

Chatham line up. Dunning was
traded to the Windsor Spitfiresr
earlier
for
Windsor’s 15th round pick
in 2010 and a conditional 15th
round pick in 2012 for Dunning and
the Sting’s 15th round
