Two Sarnia Legionnaires have been suspended for their roles in last Saturday's donnybrook at Strathroy.
The Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League announced Tuesday Tanner Tomlinson has been banished for four games, while Andy Sokol will sit for three.
Tomlinson was thrown out of the chippy contest for fighting and for attempting to injure an opponent. Sokol was tossed for being involved in the second fight in the same stoppage.
A pair of Strathroy Rockets were also suspended, although their penalties were not as severe. Dylan Impens received a two-game suspension, while J. D. Monague will miss one contest.
Tomlinson and Sokol have 19 goals between them, while neither of the two suspended Rockets has a goal to his credit.
Legionnaire general manager Bob Williamson said he will try to secure a couple of players from minor hockey to fill the gaps when Sarnia plays in London tonight against the first-place Nationals. No Mooretown Flags are available because that Jr. 'C' club is playing tonight night as well.
"We're down to eight forwards,” Williamson said.
