Tyler
Cicchini, with his third goal in
three games, and Chase Clark,
with his team-leading sixth of
the campaign, scored for Sarnia
in the 4 - 2 loss in LaSalle.
Cicchini's put the puck through
the five-hole on a nice passing
play in which newly acquired
Shawn Waldie and Tanner
Tomlinson drew assists. Clark's
marker came on a goal-mouth
scramble.
The
Legionnaires just missed tying
the game in the final minute of
play. In fact, they were only
foiled when a Vipers defenceman
dove in front of a puck headed
for a wide open net.
The Vipers
were led by Drew Palmer, who
scored twice, including one into
an open net.
LaSalle
out-shot the Legionnaires 42-29,
with Seth Anderson and Kyle
Washer both seeing action in the
Sarnia net.
Sarnia now
has a 4-4-3 record, good enough
for fourth place in the
nine-team conference, one point
behind LaSalle and Strathroy,
who are tied for second.
The
Legionnaires return to action
tonight when they face the St.
Marys Lincolns at the Sarnia
Arena. Game time is 7:30 p.m.
