The Sarnia Sting Minor Novice MD
team has had a very busy month
Sunday, November 25th was a big night for the
Novice MD squad as they won there first game of the season,
on the road in Oakridge 3-2. It was an awesome game with the
Sting team scoring first. Oakridge fought back going up 2-1.
The Jr Sting tied it up in the third and then took and held
the lead for the remainder of the game. Adam Mino played
awesome between the pipes. Adam was awarded the hardest
worker of the game hard hat. Wil O'Leary-Dilosa had two
goals including the winner and Blake Butler had 1. Assists
went to Lucan Hazzard with 2, Michael Handy, Logan Lake and
Danny Gratton with one each.
October 31st the
Sarnia Sting Minor Novice MD team played West London. The
Sting penalty kill got a work out but the players did well
covering their responsibilities. Blake Butler scored the
lone goal with Tristen Konrad getting the assist. The
following Saturday the Sting played North London. Sting
played a great defensive game giving up only 19 shots but
losing 3-1. Adam Mino played great in the net. Andrew
Lemieux scored the lone goal with Lleyton Williams getting
the assist. The following day the Sting played in West
London at Kinsmen A in a offensive shoot out that saw the
two teams score a combined total of 14 goals. The Sting
penalty kill saw action 5 times giving up three goals. Goal
scorers for the Sting were Blake Butler with two goals and
an assist, Tristen Konrad, Logan Lake and Wil O’Leary-Dilosa.
Ethan Langford played a fabulous game in the blue ice facing
39 shots.
November 11th it was back to North London where the Sting team
battled to a 3-3 tie. Adam Mino faced 16 shots from a tough
London offence and put on another stellar performance. Goal
scorers were Blake Butler with a goal and an assist, Andrew
Lemieux with a goal and assist, Wil O’Leary-Dilosa with a
goal and Logan Lake with an assist.
On November 14th the Sting hosted West London
again skating to a 3-3 tie. Ethan Langford dominated the
blue ice seeing 25 shots from a very motivated London team.
Goal scorers were Wil O’Leary-Dilosa with 2 and Lucan
Hazzard with 1. Cole Brydges picked up an assist from the
blueline.
The team looks forward to a busy
December as they move towards towards the Wayne Gretzky
tournament in Brantford starting December 27th. |
