The Sarnia Jr. Sting Major Midget's A/AA
took on the Oakridge Aeros Saturday
night at the Brock Street Barn and
handed the Aeros a 9-2 pounding.
Oakridge scored the first goal but the
Jr. Sting answered back off the stick of Derek
D'Andrea, helped out by Taylor
Smith. Sarnia's second goal was
again off the hot stick of D'Andrea
(who was on fire this night) assisted by
the steady Jeff Schroeter.
Oakridge managed to notch another goal
to make things close but at the end of
two Sarnia held the lead 3-2. As the
third period got under way the Sting
exploded with their offense.

Sarnia's goal scorers were Victor
Kovacs (2), Eric Hicks, Trevor Crawford, Alex
MacEachern, Schroeter and D'Andrea.
Helpers were awarded to D'Andrea (4),
Schroeter (2), Ryan Jennings, Jordan
McBeath, Jeff Noppen, MacEachern, Crawford,
and Hicks. This game saw all lines clicking and
was a total team effort for the win. Ben Johnson played
a steady game in net shutting down the Aeros attack.
