TOURNAMENT VICTORY #2

 The Major Bantam Jr. Sting MD captured their second tournament victory of the season this past weekend at the West London BMO Tournament.

Sarnia set their tone for tournament play with a strong win of 7-1 against Vaughn.  The first win was followed by a second victory against Duffield with a score of 6-0.The last game if the round robin saw them face London SSE, the team that they would eventually meet in the finals. The intense game ended in a 2-2 tie.

Sarnia went on to defeat Flamborough 4-0 in the semi-final game.

The Sting set a game plan for the Championship and every player contributed to the execution of what proved to be a game and tournament winning strategy.

The title was captured in dramatic fashion. The game winning goal came with 1:30 remaining in the first OT period of an exciting and emotionally charged game.

The Major Bantam Jr. Sting MD team secured their first tournament victory earlier this year at the Mooretown Storm Hockey Tournament.
