Sarnia Major Atom vs Lambton Shores Predators AE
The Sarnia Sting Major Atom MD team started off their
2009 / 2010 campaign with an exhibition game against the
Lambton Shores Predators AE team. The teams fought to a
3 - 3 tie in the exciting back and forth contest. Sarnia
opened the scoring on a breakaway goal by Jacob
Serratore, followed by a pretty tic - tac - toe passing
play finished off by Jakeb Gray with the goal.
The speedy Lambton Shores team fought to get back in the
game, and did, scoring 2 goals of their own, before the
Sting's own speedy forward, Julian D'Agostini put Sarnia
ahead again 3 - 2, with a nice deke of the goalie on a
breakaway.
The Predator's were not to be denied however, as they
countered with one of their own to tie the game 3 - 3.
Both Hunter Taylor and Hendrick Lindout played well
between the pipes for the Sarnia squad, making several
key stops late in the game to preserve the tie for the
Sting.
Next action for the Sting is
their league home opener against Stratford Saturday,
October 3 at 12:00 pm. at Clearwater Arena.
