The Sarnia Sting Major Atom
MD's tied London Thunder 1 - 1 in Forest City Hockey
League Play in London Monday night - a much better
game, after a thumping by the same London squad last
Thursday.
The Sting opened the scoring in the 1st period on a nice
backhand shot by Dustin Dennett. The game featured lots
of back and forth action. Once again the goaltending duo
of Hunter Taylor / Hendrik Lindhout had a solid night in
the net.
Sarnia held London off after plenty of pressure until
there were 2 minutes left in the game, when a
clearing attempt by Sarnia hit the referee, with the
puck luckily bouncing back to a London player who
eventually scored on the play.
Next action for the Sting is Saturday October 24 at
12:00 pm. at Clearwater Arena vs. Woodstock.
