Sarnia vs Oakridge

The Sarnia Sting Atom MD's
fought London Oakridge to a 4 - 4 tie Wednesday night in
Forest City Hockey League play.
Oakridge jumped out to a 2 - 0 first period lead but the
Sting fought back to tie it with 2 goals of their own in
the 2nd period. Adam L'Heureux scored the 1st goal and
it was assisted by Julian D'Agostini. Brent Tunstill
scored his 1st goal of the season - a hard shot from the
blue line to knot the game at 2 - 2.
In the 3rd period, Adam L'Heureux scored his 2nd and 3rd
goals of the game to complete the hat trick - the 1st
assisted by Julian D'Agostini and Jordan Marks, and the
2nd assisted by Jordan Marks pinching in from the
point.With 9 minutes left in the game, Sarnia tried to
hold the lead, but Oakridge finally answered
back, continuing to swarm the goal , and finally scored
late to tie the game.
The Sting were outshot 26 -11 in the game, with Sarnia
goaltender Hendrik Lindout making several big stops to
preserve the tie late in the game.
Next action for the Atom
Sting MD's is Thursday at 6:30 pm. at Germain Arena
against North London.
