Sarnia at North London
November 11, 2009
Sarnia Major Atom MD's defeated the North London
Nationals by a score of 5 - 3 on Tuesday night.
Sarnia opened the scoring in the 1st period on a nice
pass across from Jack McCauley on the point to Dylan
Schroeter in front of the net, who made no mistake
firing it home.
The 2nd period opened the same with Schroeter getting
his 2nd goal of the game - getting the rebound, with the
assist going to Jordan Marks. Sarnia went up 3 - 0, with
Julian D'Agostini finding the net, with assists from
Adam L'Heureux and Aidan Manery. Dylan Schroeter
completed the natural hat - trick with a nice backhand
shot over the goalie on a breakaway after stealing the
puck at the blueline. After allowing London one goal of
their own to make the score 4 - 1 , Adam L'Heureux
scored again, assisted by Julian D'Agostini, to take a
commanding 5 - 1 lead going into the 3rd period.
The 3rd period saw the Sting content to sit back a bit,
and take some costly penalties. London took it to them
scoring 2 times, but Hendrik Lindhout was strong when he
had to be in net, preserving the win for Sarnia by a
final score of 5 -3.
Next action for Sarnia is
Thursday, November 12 in
Mooretown where they will be participating in the
Mooretown Storm REP / AE Hockey Tournament .
