Sarnia Sting Atom
MD's defeated London Oakridge Sunday afternoon in Sarnia
3 -2, with an exciting come from behind victory.
Hunter Taylor was outstanding in net for Sarnia the
entire game. Oakridge opened the scoring midway though
the 1st period, and made it 2 - 0 early in the 2nd
period, before Jacob Serratore scored for the Sting to
narrow the score to 2 - 1. Eric Capes and Julian
D'Agostini assisted on the goal.
Midway through the 3rd period, Julian D'Agostini scored
on a breakaway with a nice low shot to even the score at
2 - 2. Brent Tunstill assisted on the goal. Just 7
seconds later, Jacob Serratore scored his 2nd goal of
the game with a nice top corner wrist shot over the
stunned Oakridge goaltender, after cutting between the
defencemen, to put the Sting on top 3 - 2. Julian
D'Agostini picked up his 3rd point of the game with the
assist.
With just 7 minutes to go, Hunter Taylor shut the door
on a pressing Oakridge team to preserve the win.

Tuesday night in Stratford against the Warriors.
