Sarnia vs LMHA Thunder

The Sarnia Sting Atom MD's
lost a heartbreaker to the 2nd place LMHA Thunder by a 2
-1 score Thursday night in Sarnia at Germain Arena.
Sarnia was all over London in the last 2 minutes of the
game, but couldn't get the equalizer. The Sting took it
to London early, but couldn't get it by the big London
goaltender, who continuously frustrated the Sarnia
shooters.
London finished the 1st period ahead 1 - 0. The Thunder
seemed to have the energy in the 2nd period, coming on
strong, but Hendrik Lindhout was solid between the pipes
for Sarnia making several big stops to keep the score at
2 - 0 after 2 periods of play.
Midway through the 3rd
period, Adam L'Heureux finally scored for the Sting
after several shots in a goalmouth scramble. Brennan
Healy and Julian D'Agostini assisted on the goal. After
that goal, it was all Sarnia, but the Sting were unable
to solve the Thunder goaltender again in the game.
