Sarnia at London Oarkidge
December 14, 2009
The Sarnia Sting Atom MD's
came out flying, and then held on for a 3 - 3 tie
against London Oakridge Monday evening in London. The
Sting had jumped out to a 3 - 0 lead after 2 periods,
but allowed 3 unanswered goals in the last 5 minutes of
the game to settle with the tie. Opening the scoring for
Sarnia in the 1st period was Brennan Healy, with assists
going to Jordan Marks and Julian D'Agostini. Adam
L'Heureux made the score 2 - 0 , with Dustin Dennett and
Aidan Manery getting assists. Julian D'Agostini opened
the 2nd period, scoring on a breakaway, to make the
score 3 - 0. Jack McAuley assisted on the goal.
With 7 minutes remaining
in the game, and with the Sting having a 2 man
advantage, the tide seemed to turn in the game. Oakridge
killed off the penalties, and seemed to have picked
up the momentum, scoring 3 times to even the score.
Next action for Sarnia is
Sunday, in Woodstock, against the Navy Jets.
