Petrolia Squires vs Monkton

Friday night in Petrolia the Squires lost to Monkton with a final score of 2 - 1 and are now trailing trailing 2 games to 1 in the WOAA Sr Hockey AA South Division series.

Monkton scored goals in both the first and second period, the second on a powerplay.  Goal scorers for Monkton were Perry Frankis and Shayne McClure.  The Squires scored their lone goal in the third but were unable to tie things up.  Carson Simpson scored for Petrolia assisted by Criag Laframboise and Scott Hull.

The two teams are back in action tonight (Sat Feb 20) in Monkton for game 4.  Game 5 will be in Petrolia on Friday Feb 26 - 8:00 pm.
