The Mooretown Storm Atom Hockey team played their first game of the season and skated to an 8-4 victory against the visiting Sarnia Jr. Sting AA Atoms. It was a good test for the Storm and they showed they have some scoring punch.
 
Emma McCormick played in net and made some big saves in earning the win.
 
Jared Pageau scored 4 goals and added an assist. Bailey Smalls scored a hat trick and Keith Bogaert added a goal and an assist. Also drawing assists were Drew Pepper, Hayden MacDonald and Elijah Contreras.
 
The Storm now travel to Mt. Clemens to battle the Wolves on Saturday before returning home Sunday afternoon to open the regular season against Blenheim.
