Storm lose
to Harrow
Mooretown travelled to
Harrow Friday evening to battle the
undefeated Rams. They learned a hockey
game is three periods and fell by a
score 7-3. The game was tied 2-2 after
one period but Mooretown stopped playing
and the outcome was predictable. Emma
McCormick was in net and after a
shaky couple of periods she made many
big saves in the 3rd as Mooretown was
outshot badly. Jared Pageau did all the
scoring for the Storm with 3 goals as
Bailey Smalls and Justin Murphy added
assists.
Storm Gain
Big Win
Mooretown
finished off their weekend road trip
with a visit to Kingsville Sunday
afternoon and played a much better game
coming away with a 4-1 victory. Evan
Musson got the call between the pipes
and only allowed a single goal, which
came on a penalty shot. Scoring for the
Storm were Jared Pageau with the hat
trick and Nolan Gladwish (playing
forward for the 1st time this season)
also scored. Assisting were Elijah
Contreras, Rory Pickle and Justin
Murphy.
Mooretown now gets ready
for a busy weekend as Thursday evening
they play host to Petrolia in a makeup
game and then travel to Guelph for the
Powerplay Tournament with 2 games
Friday. They will have to be at their
best if they hope to advance in this
tournament as the competition will be
formidable.
