Last Tuesday the Strathroy Rockets came to town and team went down to defeat 11 – 3. Strathroy got off to a 4 – 0 lead after the first period. In the second period the Predators upped their game. Both teams scored twice in the frame and shots on goal were fairly even. In the third frame the Predators came out strong and closed the gap to 6 – 3. They were still controlling the play after their third goal and had pressure in the Strathroy end when Kalvin Thornton was drilled into the boards.

The Rockets then continued down the ice and scored on the same possession. The team didn’t handle their frustration and it eventually lead to more penalties and power play goals against them.  Scoring for the Predators were Brendon Merrit with two goals and Brandon Stewart with one goal. Ben Woodley earned two assists and Matt Melo, Rhys Thornton, Cam Downie and Ben Arseneault each got an assist.

Last Thursday night the team met the Legionnaires in Sarnia and suffered a 12 – 2 drubbing. Kalvin Thornton and Brandon Stewart managed to score for the Predators with assists going to Brent Andriash, Adam Arseneault, Dave Hutchinson and Ben Arseneualt.

Last Saturday night the Predators hosted the first place London Nationals. The Predators trailed after the first period 4 – 2. In the second period the shots on goal were fairly even at 14 – 13 in favour of the Nationals. However 5 of those shots managed to hit the twine at the back of Predator goal to give them a 9 – 2 lead to go into the third. The Nationals scored the lone goal in the third period to make the final 10 – 2. The first period scoring for the Predators was scored by Matt Melo and Brandon Stewart. Adam Arseneault and Brent Andriash assisted on Melo’s goal. While Matt Melo and Adam Arseneault earned another point each assisting on Stewart’s goal.
