Sting lost to Spitfires

The Minor Atom team hosted the Windsor Spitfires at the RBC Center and fell short, losing 4-2.
Scoring for the Sting was Dante Fuoco and Cameron Rombouts with goals and Gage Langford with an assist.

The Minor Atom team travelled to Goderich for a head to head battle with the Huron-Perth Lakers. Both teams having similar records, made for a good tilt, and the Sting came away with the 2 points with a 4-3 victory.
The Sting opened the scoring early in the 1st period with a nice 2 on 1, seeing Dante Fuoco pass to Nolan Farr who finished the play. The Sting defense played well minimizing the scoring chances of the Lakers.
In the second, the Lakers scored 2 quick goals only 30 seconds apart to make it 2-1. 30 seconds later the Sting tied it up, which began with a nice rush by Gage Langford who pass out from to Cameron Adam who one timed it. Early in the 3rd period Josh Vale would put the Sting up again from a nice centering pass from Theo Crombeen, but the lead again would be short lived as the Lakers scored on a penalty shot. The Sting continued to press for the victory and T. Crombeen finally netted the game winner from the slot assisted by J. Vale and C. Adam.
Cole Doig played well in net for the victory.
