Major Peewees
Split Games on Weekend
On Saturday, October 24, the
Major Peewees travelled to Stratford to play the
Huron-Perth Lakers. With only 12 healthy skaters
available to play, Lambton gave up one goal in
the first and three in the second, but found
some momentum and came back to score three of
its own. Although Travis Moore was strong in
net, the final score was 4-3 for Huron-Perth,
but the boys gave a valiant effort. Scoring for
Lambton were: Brett Corrigan, assisted by Ethan
Jacobs; Dillon Saunders from Zach Van Eyk &
Brett Corrigan; and Blain Adams, assisted by
Zach Van Eyk.
On Sunday, October 25, the Major
Peewees headed to Brantford with a full team
back on the bench. The team showed strength
early in the game, scoring two in the first
period and another in the second. Goaltender,
Riley Collins, blocked some great shots, but
Brantford showed some strength of its own,
scoring three quick ones in the second. Lambton
pulled out one more goal in the third to win the
game 4-3. Scoring for Lambton were: Brett
Corrigan from Sam McCormack; Sam McCormack from
Zach Van Eyk and Tim Kaldeway; Dillon Saunders
assisted by Ethan Jacobs; and Jake Mott, set up
by Brett Corrigan and Tim Kaldeway.
The Lambton Jr Sting Major
Peewees will play next on Sunday, November 1 at
the SSEC at 12:15 against Brantford and Monday,
November 2 at the SSEC at 6:45 versus
Elgin-Middlesex.
