The Lambton Jr. Sting Major Bantam
AAA hockey team opened their regular
season with a tight 4-3 loss at the
hands of Chatham and a 6 -4 victory
over Hamilton.
In their first game Lambton fought
back from a 3-1 deficit to tie the
game up at 3, only to have Chatham
score the winner with 40 seconds
left in the game.
Scoring for Lambton were Ryan
Trottier, Matthew Brandon and Ben
Morrison. Picking up assists were
Mitch DeRush-Pageau and Nick
Sproviero with two each, Ryan
Frizzell and Morrison.
The Sting's second game of the
weekend saw them defeat Hamilton
6-4. Scoring for the Sting were
Ryan Trottier with two, Nick
Sproviero, Ryan Frizzell, Jeff Sit
and Matthew Brandon. Mitch
DeRush-Pageau, Adam Lane and
Sproviero each chipped in with two
assists. Single assists went to
Trottier, Brandon and Ben Morrison.
John Boric picked up the victory
between the pipes.
Next action for the '95 squad is in
Kitchener as they will be
participating in the OHL Showcase.
