’95 Lambton Sting AAA Sweep Playoff
Series vs. London Knights
The Lambton Jr. Sting Major Bantam
AAA swept the London Knights Gold 3
games to 0, with a convincing 4 – 0
shutout win in Ontario Alliance
Playoff action.
Ben Morrison opened the scoring with
assists from Nick Zotol and Brad
Campbell at 9:14 of the first
period. Jeff Sit followed up with
blast from the point, a minute later
to put the Sting up 2 – 0, with
assists going to Mitch DeRush-Pageau
and Nick Sproviero. The Sting ended
the First period up 3 – 0 as Mitch
DeRush Pageau scored from Nick
Sproviero and Adam Lane.
The Sting tightened up there play
throughout the 2nd period
and finished things off in the third
with a tip in goal from Ryan
Frizzell off a rocket from Brett
Storr. Ryan Trottier picked up the
other assist.
The physical series was topped off
by a Nick Zotol’s fisticuff worthy
of a Heavy Weight title. Joel
Sowinski was outstanding in goal,
picking up the shut out.
The Bantams are off awaiting there
