’95 Lambton Sting AAA Get back to
Winning Ways
The Lambton Jr. Sting Major Bantam
AAA hockey team won two straight
games following two losses the
weekend previous.
On Monday Lambton, travelled to
London, to play London Gold.
Lambton outpaced the Gold squad by a
score of 3 - 1. Nick Sproviero led
the attack with 3 goals. Assists
went to Jeff Sit, Connor McKinnon
and Ryan Frizzell. Joel Sowinski
got the win between the pipes.
Friday night saw the Sting head to
London to play London Green. The
Sting hung on to win 4 – 3. Adam
Lane, Alex Deluce, Nick Zotol, and
Davis Prince scored for Lambton.
Picking up assists were Mitch
DeRush-Pageau, D.J. Sapone, Jeff
Sit, and Ryan Trottier.
The previous weekend, the Sting were
in tough against Windsor and Elgin
Middlesex. The Windsor game saw
Lambton drop a tough 2 – 1 loss,
giving up the winning goal with 34
seconds left in the game. Adam Lane
scored the lone goal, with Nick
Sproviero picking up the assist.
Versus Elgin, the Sting were tied
with the first place Chiefs heading
into the third only to lose 6 -3.
Goal Scorers were Nick Zotol, D.J.
Sapone and Kirk Dorman. Assists
went to Matt Brandon, Jeff Sit and
Ryan Trottier.
The boys are off until December 27th
when the play in the Burlington
Horseshoe Tournament. |
