With one more day of rest after the Windsor team cancelled due to sickness on Saturday, the Major Atoms were on the road Sunday at the historic Galt Arena.
The Jr. Sting went into the match short 2 players and 1 that only managed to play half the game due sickness. Lambton got off to a good start with Ryan Gould getting the good guys on the board with a nice bank shot of their goalie. Gould then got the Jr. Sting up 2 goals on a nice setup from Ryan Brown mid-way through the 2nd period. Gould finished off the natural hat trick early in the 3rd with assists going to Brown and Jack Hackett. Brennan Mckegan was rewarded for some excellent play and scored to make it 4-0 Jr. Sting. Cambridge scored right after to make it a game but Lambton was too much for the Hawks. Josh Barraclough finished off the scoring with a nice partial breakaway goal.
