The Major Atom Jr. Sting traveled north to Goderich on a Wednesday night to play the make-up game against Huron Perth.

Huron Perth scored first on a blast from the point that beat a screened Ethan Hunt in net. Huron Perth followed that one up with a very similar goal from the other side of ice producing a 2-goal deficit for Lambton. The Jr. Sting Atom’s got one back on a nice goal by Max Steeves late in the first period to cut the lead to one. Huron Perth regained the lead early in the second on the power play. Lambton picked up their game in the second period with some strong forechecking and physical play and Ryan Brown scored to make it a one-goal game.

A fast and furious third period produced lots of chances for both teams and the Jr. Sting looked poised to tie the match up a number of times but could not find the back of the net. The game ended with Huron Perth winning 3-2.

Ryan Brown and Max Steeves each had one goal and one assist. Ben Schoch had one assist. Ethan Hunt made a number of good saves to give Lambton a chance to tie it up.
