Lambton hosted Sun County on Sunday afternoon for the only game of the weekend, hoping to continue the strong play of late.

The game was wide open with plenty of chances at both ends of the ice. SC opened the scoring mid-way through the first period. The Jr. Sting’s Max Steeves got things squared up a one with a nice solo effort. SC scored next to put them up 2-1 with their #17 dancing around our defenders.

The Jr. Sting continued to pour it on, showing every sign that they wanted to win and Nick DiScanno knotted things at 2 scoring top shelf after receiving a beautiful feed from Daniel Wellington. A few anxious moments for both teams ensued but the game ended in a 2-2 draw.

Both teams earned a well-deserved point and look forward to a potential second round playoff match-up.
