The Sarnia Lady
Sting Midget AA team dropped a pair of close
games this past weekend to the very
strong, undefeated team from Saugeen Maitland.
In an away matchup on Saturday, Sarnia just
couldn't come up with any offence to challenge
the two goals the Lightning scored on Sarnia net
minder Mallory Mullin. The game finished 2-0.
They would meet up
again on Sunday in Sarnia. The Sting led the
game after the first two periods 1-0, but
Saugeen would come back hard in the third and
score two of their own stealing the win out from
a game that Sarnia dominated. Sarnia's lone goal
of the weekend was scored on a nice hard shot
from Jillian Rops. Picking up an assist on the
play was Kelsey Dobbin. Casey Kerrigan was in
net for the Sting.
Sarnia's next game
is this coming Sunday, Nov. 1st at home against
the London Devilettes, 2:30 game time.
