The Sarnia Lady
Sting Midget AA team picked up one point
after tying the second place London
Devilettes this past weekend.
In a pretty evenly matched game, Sarnia was
first to score early in the second period.
Alicia MacDougall found the back of the net
off a perfect pass from Erica Bucci. Less
than two minutes later Alicia MacDougall
would put another one in the top corner to
bring the Sting up 2-0. Mackenzie Dark
dumped a hard shot in from the point to pick
up the assist on the play.
Unfortunately
London would get two of their own in the
second period, and the game remained that
way despite many good attempts to put it
away by Sarnia. Mallory Mullin did a
excellent job in net for the Sting.
Sarnia will try
to move their way out of the middle of the
standings this coming weekend, as they head
to Strathroy Saturday to face the Bluewater
Hawks and are back home on Sunday for a 2:30
game at the RBC center against Stratford.
