The Sarnia Lady
Sting Midget AA girls took a hard loss this
past Sunday when they went up against the
Kitchener Rangers. Sarnia went head to head
with the Rangers the entire game, but once
again had trouble getting the puck in the
net.
Halfway through the third period Kitchener
was up 2-0 when Sarnia's Karly Dobbin made a
nice move and roofed a backhand past the
very strong Rangers net minder. Amy
VandenEynde and Jillian Rops picked up the
assists. Although Sarnia continually
pressured in the third, they couldn't get
the extra goal to tie things up.
Sarnia is away
this weekend, Stratford on Friday night, and
Windsor on Saturday night. A win in either
game could cement them a playoff spot.
