The Sarnia Lady
Sting Midget AA girls had a home game on
Sunday Dec. 27th against the second place
Cambridge Roadrunners. In two previous
meeting each team had won a game. It would
remain a draw after this one also as both
teams picked up one point with a 1-1 tie.
Sarnia led the game 1-0 for the majority
of the game on a beautiful shot carried all
the way in by defenseman Danielle Girard,
Sierra Butler picked up the only assist on
the goal. Cambridge played a very physical
game and applied a lot of pressure on Sarnia
goaltender Casey Kerrigan. She made a ton of
great saves before they finally cashed in on
a rebound.
Sarnia plays
this weekend away against Stratford on
Saturday, and back home for their regular
ice time on Sunday at 2:30 against Bluewater
at the RBC center. The following weekend the
Sting are in Guelph for a tournament.
