Sarnia's Jr. Lady Sting Bantam
B's have advanced to the OWHA Provincial Play-off to
be played in April.
The Bantam's were involved in a three team home and
away round robin with Lakeshore and Petrolia.
Sarnia's first game was away versus Lakeshore at the
Essex Memorial Arena and it proved to be great game
against a team that had not lost in league play with
0 to 0 tie.
A week later Lakeshore made the return trip to
Sarnia for game #2. Playing on home ice and with a
large home fan base cheering them on Sarnia scored
an impressive 3 to 1 win.
Sarnia now needed to gain wins over a determined
Petrolia team to advance to Provincials. The first
game of the home and away was played in Sarnia with
Sarnia winning 3 to 0. Game #2 in Petrolia a week
later proved to be exciting affair. With the Bantam
B's trailing 2 to 1 with 6 minutes left Sarnia
scored a power play goal and 4 even strength goals
for a 6 to 2 win to secure the trip to Provincials.
The Bantam B's are now waiting
for the winner of the Mt. Forest v/s Waterloo Series
to finish their League Divisional Play-off.
