Geoff Spielman has a
long list of
athletic
accomplishments in
basketball,
volleyball and
badminton.
In
Grade 9 at Northern
Collegiate he was
team MVP on the
midget boys LSSAA
championship midget
basketball club. He
also played travel
basketball for
Northern.
He
was also team MVP on
the junior and
senior boys
volleyball squads,
serving twice as
team captain.
Geoff also took part
in junior and senior
badminton at
Northern, winning an
LSSAA championship
in Grade 12.
Among other things,
his academic
achievements
included the highest
academic averages in
both Grade 9 and 10
and the highest
mark in Grade 10
history (100 per
cent!).
Aleeza Dobson has
excelled in a number
of different sports,
including hockey,
lacrosse, baseball,
badminton and golf.
She
has played hockey
for 13 years,
including St. Clair
Girls Hockey, where
she was the
assistant captain
for three years.
She has also been an
assistant captain
for the Pacers
lacrosse team, where
she has won three
provincial titles as
well as the Most
Defensive Player
Award and the
Coaches Choice
Award. In 2014 she
won the overall
female athlete award
(Grade 11).
Aleeza also played
two-pitch for four
years, serving as an
assistant captain
and winning the
championship twice.
In badminton, she
played on a Sarnia
Collegiate team that
placed second in
girls doubles and
twice advanced to
SWOSSA. She
also advanced to
SWOSSA playing high
school golf.
Her
academic
achievements are so
numerous they could
not possibly all be
listed here. But it
must be noted that,
among other things,
this honour student
has won a general
proficiency award
for recording the
highest overall
academic average.
