Melanie Rocca has competed in scores of national and international competitions, often finishing first in vault, bars, beam and floor events. Besides performing at an elite level in provincial and

nationals competitions, she has been a standout at events in the United States and Europe as well,

including the Top Gym International in Belgium, the China Motor International Gymnastic Cup in Taiwan, the Slovenia International Meet and the Stella Zakharova Cup in Kiev, Ukraine.
 

Her many honours and awards have come from a number of organizations. A few of them include:
 

The Ontario Gymnastic Federation: For participation in the 1998 Women's Artistic Provincial Championships.
 

Gymnastics Canada: In recognition of a bronze medal (overall physical abilities junior) at the 1999 Canadian Gymnastics Championships at Burnaby, B.C.
 

Gymnastics Canada: In recognition of international gymnastics achievements in 2000.
 

Gymnastics Canada: Excellence Award in recognition of outstanding international gymnastic performances while representing Canada from 2001-2005.
 

Melanie was also named to the Mayor's Honour List in 2003 for outstanding service to the people of Sarnia.
