Kelly Doohan
Golf & Figure Skating
In Golf Kelly won
various Club
Championships in
Ontario and
Michigan.
Kelly won
the Canadian Junior
Golf title in 1988
and in the following
years competed on
the Canadian
Commonwealth Team,
The British Amateurs
and then received a
golf scholarship to
the University of
Georgia where she
won numerous matches.
She also won the Kaanapali Invitation
and the Rainbow
Wailea Invitational
in Hawaii in 1994
and 1995
respectively.
As a member of the
University of
Georgia Lady Bulldog
team, the team won the
All Southern
Conference title
three
of the four years that
she attended.
One
of the highlights of
Kelly’s career was
when she played in
the Corning Classic
LPGA event, where
she won low amateur
honours.
In Figure Skating
Doohan won various
medals as a youth
and in 1988 one of
her greatest
accomplishments was
when she
demonstrated her
versatility as a
multi-discipline
athlete when she
skated at the
Canadian
Championship level
and won the Canadian
Junior Golf title.
