Katie Wallace

Katie was born in Lindsay, Ontario. She hit the
international sporting stage in the late 1990's when
Katie garnered Canada's first medal at the 1998 IPC
World Athletic Championships in Birmingham, England.
Katie would competed the
following year at the Southern Cross Multi-Disability
Games in Sydney, Australia and in 2001, she was back in
England at Nottingham for the CP-ISRA World
Championships.
Katie was a member of the
Canadian Paralympic team that competed in the 2004
Athens, Greece Games. Competing in the shot put event,
Katie placed 10th. She would compete in the IPC World
Athletic Championships in Assen, The Netherlands, two
years later.
Katie's career would see her
leave land and head to the water. For the past two
years, Katie has been a spare for the National Adaptive
Rowing Team in the TA2X category. She claimed first
place at the 2008 Royal Canadian Henley Regatta held at
St. Catherines. Also in 2008, Katie competed at the
U.S. Nationals and the Canadian Indoor Rowing
Championships. In 2007, Katie was at the ROWONTARIO
Championships in Welland.
